Another Event!

I was part of an author speaking/signing event at the Beresford Library. This is the second time I've taken part in a writer's event during Bereford's town celebration. I'm happy to be included. I meet the nicest writers and readers. It's always fun to be around people who enjoy books!

Obviously, I'm having a hard time keeping up my blog this year since it's been over a month since I last posted. I promise I'll try to be better.

I've taken part in large writer events/signing and small ones. I like both, but the smaller venues make it easier to talk with readers. Notice I said readers. I talk to many people who aren't into the genre I write and that is okay. I know not all readers are my target audience.

At this particular signing, the first two books I signed was for a woman's sister-in-law who has cancer and reads to get through her chemo therapy treatments. I've had many people interested in my books, but never for that particular reason.

Another reader and I connected over the history of railroad chapel cars. She'd never heard of them. I shared the information I had. She was going to go home and Google them to learn more. She promised me she'd borrow my book from the library and read it!
