Book Parade - Day 12

Francis P. Church's response to a little girl's letter sent to The New York Sun touches my heart. I purchased this special edition book for myself and read it every year.

Mr. Church touches on what the TRUE meaning of Santa and Christmas is all about and does it in a way that all ages can understand.

I love the bio section of this book about Francis because it also teaches us another lesson, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Someone, who is described as curmudgeonly, had a sentimental heart that held the TRUE meaning of Christmas. And in his lifetime, he never took credit for the answer to the letter, it wasn't until after his death did the truth come out about the author of this wonderful editorial piece that's been turned into a books and cartoon.

Do you agree with Francis P. Church's description of what Santa Claus is?
