Job's Tears Back Cover Blurb

Nothing Can Stop Sarah. Since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Sarah Buckley is in denial and determined to prove the pessimists wrong. Her life changes--including a new career and new hobby--cause her mom and best friend to voice concerns that she's overdoing it. To Sarah, though, overdoing it is goodness sent from God.

As a Sanders man, Mark Sanders is better off not committing...and so are the women he dates. After all, his father abandoned his mother when she was diagnosed with MS, and Mark fears he'll follow in his father's footsteps. That is, until Sarah Buckley signs up for a quilt class at Mark's shop and his fear of commitment turns to fear of losing out on love.

Can Sarah and Mark see past the beliefs that blind them and embrace the true good God has placed in their lives?

Crossing My Fingers

So, I finished the audition chapter, submitted it to my agent. She caught some typos, I made corrections. My best friend read it. She liked it and no she's not biased (LOL). I polished some more and then I sent it off to my agent, who sent it off to the editor and now.........

I wait....with crossed fingers hoping that the editor will like the style, tone, and plot idea that I came with for the characters and mystery they developed. Writing a mystery is fairly new to me. I have a mystery aimed at middle readers but never tried one for adults. I had lots of fun writing the audition chapter. Hopefully that will show in my writing.

Good thing I have other writing projects to work on and a newly released book to promote. I received my author copies of Job's Tears yesterday, so I know it's now available at http://www.heartsongpresents.com/. I will be giving away a few copies when I guest blog on http://www.seekerville.blogspot.com/ at the end of the month. Keep reading my blog to find out when!

I'm Auditioning!

Wow, I sound more like an actress than a writer!

But for some work for hire projects, writer's have to audition too. That's what I am doing. I met an editor at last year's ACFW conference, who auditions writer's for some of the book series that they publish. The wonderful thing about audtioning for this publisher is, they give you all the information you need, character sketches, setting, subject matter. All I have to do is weave an interesting story around it that the publisher's audience will love.

Hopefully, I've done that with my audition chapter!

I have the rough draft of the chapter finished. Now to polish, polish, polish before the submission deadline.

Even though they asked me to audition for this book series, doesn't mean that they'll offer me a contract....wish me luck!
